Shooting Threat at Illing Middle School Raises Concerns
Parents and students at Illing Middle School were alarmed by a shooting threat that was reported at 8:35am.
Despite assurances of increased police presence in the email, many parents felt that the school’s response was inadequate.
One parent, who visited the school to check on their child, reported that the security personnel at the front entrance were unaware of the threat until 8:35 AM, when it was publicly announced via email.
Parents are expressing frustration and concern over the school district’s prioritization of attendance over student safety.
They are calling for more robust security measures and immediate action to address the threat.

49-year-old Christopher Bullock killed in Middletown shooting
Middletown, Ohio — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal weekend shooting in Middletown as 49-year-old Christopher Bullock, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
Officers with the Middletown Police Department responded around 12:00 p.m. Sunday to reports of gunfire in the area of Roosevelt Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Bullock was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Officials have not released the condition of the surviving victim.
At this time, police have not announced any arrests or identified a suspect.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
