Victims killed in Tignall shooting identified, suspect Shannon Box in custody

On the morning of Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a sighting of Shannon Box near Danburg Road in Tignall, Georgia.
Deputies quickly located Box at a church on Jones Chapel Road, where he was taken into custody without resistance.

Shannon Box now faces multiple charges, including:
- Three counts of Murder
- Three counts of Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Crime
- Aggravated Assault

Plane crashes near Concord-Padgett Regional Airport

CONCORD, NC (Cabarrus County) — Aircraft Crash ReportEmergency crews responded to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, located in the 9000 block of Aviation Boulevard Northwest, following reports of an aircraft crash off the runway.
According to initial information, the aircraft went down just off the airstrip, and flames were observed on the ground shortly after impact.
Fire and rescue units arrived promptly and initiated fire suppression efforts to contain the blaze.
Authorities have confirmed that the pilot was able to exit the aircraft following the crash.
